Rates start as low as 1.69% plus .20¢ per transaction for retail businesses, and 2.19% plus .25¢ per transaction for mail/phone/internet businesses.
If I have more than one business, do I need more than one merchant account?
Since a merchant account is tied to your business name and tax id, it is necessary to have a separate merchant account for each of your businesses. It is perfectly legal, however, to have more than one merchant account.
